Description
Escape to your own private, country beach house paradise! The house is a 6-bedroom, 4-bath, two-story home on an acre beach lot with an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean and an all sport court (paddle tennis, basketball, and badminton) in a fenced compound. Each floor has a primary bedroom overlooking the ocean and there is a full kitchen on each floor so it is designed to accommodate 2 families. *Note- there is no access between floors inside the home. *AC added to 4 bedrooms!
There is a massage deck and hammock hidden in a tree-covered area for privacy and it is only yards from the beach. There is also an outdoor dining area that seats 10 under the trees for that perfect BBQ. There are beautiful views of the ocean from the wrap-around decks. It is literally one of the most beautiful protected bays in the Islands. Many of the older families in Honolulu have their private beach homes on this bay. The house is a quiet, upscale property which is popular with local artists, writers, etc.
The north shore takes you from the hustle of Honolulu to explore some of the most pristine beaches. Nearby beaches include Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay and Ehukai Beach.
Our country beach house is located on the Island of Oahu approximately one hour from Honolulu and the Airport.
The Hawaiian Islands have some of the most remote tropical rainforests in the world. Nevertheless, like any moist and fertile environment, you may find some ants, mosquitoes, roaches and critters like little geckos that share this beautiful world with humans. To keep out bugs, remember to close the doors right after entering. Don't leave food or crumbs on counters or tables and avoid eating at the bed because ants are really smart and fast.
Ring doorbell at front entrance.
Attention: Due to the proximity to the ocean, the salt air can accelerate the deterioration of metal surfaces, appliances, and other materials in and around the home. We want to ensure a comfortable stay and maintain the quality of our beachfront properties.
Please be aware that while we conduct regular maintenance and inspections to address these issues, some signs of wear and tear may still be present. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us preserve these beautiful homes. If you notice any specific issues during your stay, please inform us immediately so we can address them promptly.
Thank you for your attention and enjoy your time at the beach!

Moani Kai was a wonderful family friendly place to stay with a beautiful beach front view!
The view was incredible, the relaxed atmosphere of that side of the island was so great, Carole was very friendly and accommodating and helped us when we needed additional pack and plays for the grandchildren. We loved the hot tub, the sport court, the beach, the porch, the barbecue grill and table set up for family dinners was awesome and we loved the atmosphere in the evenings when we turned on the lights around the dinner table and the trees nearby that were lit, it was really very relaxing and inviting. Thanks so much for making our stay such a pleasant one!

"Great home, quiet location, helpful caretaker" This home was great for 6 couples celebrating our father's 80th birthday. The house was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space for 12 adults to visit together, and cozy nooks for individuals to read and enjoy the property. The weather on this side of the island was very windy while we were there. My brother was able to kite board on the beach outside the back door. However, the last day was still and perfect. Carol, the care taker, was friendly and provided great ideas for beaches, food, hikes, etc. Thanks Carol and Lavish Getaways for making this such a great vacation. We want to come back.

Best Weekend Ever!!!!
The Moani Kai was absolutely beautiful....the house is well equipped inside and out........kitchen has everything you would need...... outdoors had surf boards, chairs, toys for kids, towels....just bring your swimsuit!! There's enough room to accommodate the young active ones and space for relaxing and peacefulness. The property is right on the beach yet private. We will rent again!!! The caretaker was friendly and helpful.

Awesome
We had the very best time at Moani Kai. Our children and their families spent four wonderful days at this totally enjoyable home. Being residents of O'ahu and most of our family coming in from the mainland we wanted to make sure that their stay was the best ever. Moani Kai did not disappoint. Highly recommended. I'd definitely stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations!
The only thing wrong with our 5 day stay was it was too short! The house was perfectly located right on the beach which was also beautiful with soft golden sand. We enjoyed lunches and drinks on the lanai with the gorgeous yard sloping to the beach. The house has a wide open feel and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking for 2 or 12. (The caretaker) was sweet and helpful and a pleasure to work with. Lavish Getaways did an excellent job presenting several options of properties for us to pick from. We can't thank everyone enough for helping us have our dream wedding.

We loved this place!
This house was perfect for our group of married children & our grandkids. It was even better than the pictures could show. We had so much space and the kids all commented how we never felt crowded. The yard was so great for the kids to run around in when they were done with the sand. The beach was so beautiful in a bay which had a break so the surf wasn't too scary for the little ones. The sport court was fun, too! The hot tub was working great. A guy even came mid-week to clean it. It was especially nice after a day at the beach! The caretaker was adorable and friendly. She checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything but was never invasive. We found plenty to do right around the area. Lots of fun food places. Loved Papa Ole's for breakfast. My husband was on grill duty for dinners and commented that a newer and bigger BBQ would be great, but we were grateful for all of the extras provided that we weren't expecting. There are 2 washers & 2 dryers to use which was so helpful for our big group. The unit provided plenty of beach & bath towels, lots of chairs in the yard for hanging out, and even beach toys for the kids. There were boogie boards & surf boards. There was DW soap & even TP...Just a few nice things we didn't have to run out & buy! Our biggest Thank You to the owners & rental agency & the caretaker for helping our family vacation be the best it could be! Everyone loved it so much and we really hope we can come back again!! You gotta come here if you want to get away from the crazy Waikiki and feel how Hawaii is supposed to be.

Great Beach house!
I think our business club just found the best beach house ever! It was a really nice getaway! The property was gorgeous and more than we could ask for! They had everything from towels to pots and pans to beach towels/mats to even buckets and shovels to go crab hunting! The house even came with dry branches ready for the fire pit sitting outside by the lawn ready for a bonfire and of course s'mores! We literally only needed our change of clothes! We were very surprised they even provided board games of every sort we could imagine and cable TV! The house itself was very clean and tidy and we felt like we were in a hotel but better. It was nice and private and there was easy and close access to the beach. We could enjoy breakfast out on the big backyard and watch the sunrise on the beach! The shower out on the porch made cleaning up after the beach easy breezy! There was a tennis court and basketball hoop as well and the parking area was very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again next year!!

Awesome!
My husband and I took our 3 grown children and spouses plus 10 grandchildren, of which 3 are babies to stay for the week and everyone agreed, it was a wonderful place to stay. We did struggle to find the house in the dark but a phone call to the caretaker helped us to find our way. The Moani Kai was a very nice, clean and comfortable beach house to stay in. Was fully stocked with dishes, pans & utensils most everything you would need for cooking. The beds were comfortable and we found everything to be in working order. The Moani had a huge back yard with tennis and basketball court. We all loved that, plus the best was the beach right out your back door with all types of water toys to help keep the kids busy. How can you beat that along with being able to hear ocean waves at night, it is so awesome! Running on the beach in the morning was also a favorite for us but there is also a trail out front you can run on but nothing was more fun than just watching our children and grandchildren body surfing in the water and playing on the beach, interacting with one another, something we can't always do. Chasing crabs on the beach at night is a hoot!!! So many memories and fun times we now have to cherish. Was perfect for us!The caretaker, who is a very nice lady, was never intrusive but just a phone call away for whatever was needed and we really appreciated that. We all loved the North Shore, no comparison to being stuck in the city, plus plenty of places to keep you busy (gotta see the Breath of Life, at the Polynesian Center) Eeks, just be aware the traffic is really bad when the surf competition is going on and will take an extra hr if you're trying to go toward Haleiwa, to get shaved ice at Motsumoto's, one of our favorite places. One person in our group, who went to gas station by the Kahuku grill, said that shaved ice was just as good as Motsumoto's but for me, it's the nostalgia of the place plus fun stores to shop in the town.

Great stay at Malaekahana!
Just a quick note to thank you for letting us enjoy your fantastic home on Oahu. The stay couldn't have been better! Even the three days of rain enabled us to relax, read our novels, and be effective tourists. We played the 9-hole course at Kahuku and the 18-hole Fazio course at Turtle Bay, enjoyed the lavish Sunday brunch overlooking the surf at Turtle Bay, had more than enough Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, Margaritas, Planters Punch, etc., celebrated the Year of the Rooster in Chinatown, were educated and moved at Pearl Harbor and Punchbowl, shopped and spent at Haleiwa dress shops, hiked the trails to Waimea Falls, devoured garlic shrimp from Giovanni's white truck, lingered over breakfasts on the covered deck, were dazzled by the Polynesian Center's VIP package including the luau and show, were calmed by walks along the seashore, were soaked to oblivion in the hot tub gazing at the brilliant stars, were lulled to sleep by the crashing waves, were vicariously terrified while watching the surfers, were delighted by the half-price early bird dinner at Marriott's Sansei, and cherished the final sunset pre-flight nachos grandes and wings at the Hau Tree Lanai Bar---to name just a few of our memorable experiences, thanks to you! It was our first time in Hawaii and certainly will not be our last. Thank you for making this 10-day extravaganza possible! We'd love to share a bottle of Champagne with you one night in New York to thank you for your hospitality. Mahalo and Aloha!"

GREAT HOUSE!!
"The house was immaculate, and the towels both beach and bath are as fine as any found in a five star resort…your house and grounds around the house are simply wonderful. You have a real gem in a prime location on Oahu. Thank you for opening your home to strangers and allowing others to have the amazing experiences that I understand you and your family have had for many years. The memories you have provided to myself and my family are priceless. My children cannot stop talking about the chickens, geckos, coconuts, hammock, tennis court, and beach fun they had in Hawaii. So why we ever left the house to go see Diamond Head or Pearl Harbor I'll never know. I have already given your web address to eight different friends and family, and I have only been back 4 days!!!! I have told them all to book early because it's the best deal in Oahu! It might be a cliché, but the Moani Kaiolohia at Malaekahana Bay really does feel like a home away from home. The house is well maintained and beautiful, the beach is spectacular and secluded and the north shore really feels like a world away from the hustle of everyday life. If you want a place that is perfect for a large family or a group of friends, you couldn't do much better."
